Conclussion about Teaching Media

In this case, I want to comment the last posting in online course by Mr.Cuhel that is about the conclusion from the first week until the last. In teaching media course, we learn about the media that use in teaching learning process to make the teaching learning process more interest, enjoy, and effective. Actually, there are some media that we can use when we teach the English Language; one of them is as our lecturer use now that is blog. I personally think that, this media is very useful. Through this blog, we can learn something different than before. From the first,             Mr.Cuhel asks us to write the text about describing someone and published the comment on his blog. This task indirectly teaches us about descriptive text, writing skills, and also grammar especially for tenses. Next to that, our lecturer (Mr.Cuhel) shows us some URLs to read and that give the comment about that. From this task, the teacher can analyze and assess their students’ skills especially for critical reading and critical thinking. Learning teaching media can give us the knowledge about how to manage students and also how to create the enjoy atmosphere in classroom, so that our students can easier to understand and receive the material. We as candidates of teacher have to know and create our own media as creative as possible, but we have to remember that the media that we use should appropriate for the students level and need. The media that we use should not only to teach one skill but also all of the skills in Learning Language. For example, if we want to teach speaking, we can use variety of media for example the story telling and the lyrics of song. Teaching media is very important not only for the teacher but also for the students, for instance we learn through this blog. It can help the students easier to doing the learning process. They don’t need to attend the classroom, just staying at home while browsing about the online course and access the task from our lecturer. It gives us the time to more focus to do the assignment. As Mr.Cuhel says in his book that the media is a tool or device to convey or deliver the material toward the students. So, teaching media take the important role in teaching learning process. It can support the material that the students will learn. When we want to apply the media in learning process, we have to pay attention the students’ level, the material, and also the method of teaching. The media that we use will be used as well as possible depends on how we apply that. We should apply that media as creative as possible. So, we as candidates of teacher should select the best media and also pay attention on what we have expected to reach for our students. That’s all from me about the conclusion, thank you.
